If you already have a version of YouTube installed but it won't load, you can trick the app into thinking it's a newer version by modifying its internal metadata. Requirements: A jailbroken device with Filza File Manager installed from Cydia. Open Filza and navigate to: /var/containers/bundle/application/YouTube/YouTube.app/ Locate and open the info.plist Find the keys CFBundleShortVersionString CFBundleVersion

After a few days of use, Google’s servers will detect your old app version and display a full-screen pop-up: “Update YouTube to continue.” You cannot dismiss this.
