The story of Spore begins on a day much like any other in Fungaria. The village was preparing for the annual Mushroom Festival, a time of celebration and thanksgiving for the forest's bounty. However, a sense of unease settled over Spore. They had been experiencing vivid dreams and an inexplicable pull towards the deeper parts of the forest, as if something or someone was calling to them.
